Removing Friends
Many thanks for the answers. I sort of suspected that I couldn't do anything about it. I have deleted the post now. I've decided not to use that account after all. I'll just stick with my original one.

As far as I know, they will always be able to see whether you are online or not, even if you delete the original character. The only thing I guess you could do is always set your status to "offline", but that would kinda stop you from making new friends since you won't ever be able to talk with them in private.

Yeah, no way to avoid that. People can always see what character you are on unless your offline.

Remove them all from your friends list. In time many of them will go away or leave you alone. If you get hostile remarks from them, just explain. If that doesn't work, put that person on your ignore list.

You could put them on your ignore list, and they wont be able to see if you online.
